(BEIJING, August 24) -- An online poll of 1,000 netizens showed that Olympic host city Beijing is the countrys top de
stination for sightseeing after the Games.

August is traditionally a prime month for traveling, but the attraction of the Olympic Games made would-be tourists opt to stay home to enjoy
the events on TV, the poll suggests. As many as 90 percent of respondents indicated that they had made plans for vacationing after the Olympic Games conclude.

Beijing won the hearts o
f up to 60 percent of the respondents, and co-host cities Hong Kong (which staged Equestrian events) and Qingdao (headquarters for Sailing events) attracted almost 40 percent of those polled. The survey was conducted by
Chinas leading travel website, Ctrip.com
